Call of Duty 4: Command and Control™ Forum Terms of Service, Use, and Notices
1. Accepting The Terms Of Service and Use
This is an agreement between the user, and the operators of the
Call of Duty 4: Command and Control™ Forums. The user agrees to abide
the terms set forth herein and likewise agrees to follow the guidelines
of the TOS as well as the recommendations of the Call of Duty 4:
Command and Control™ Moderator Staff and Administrators. Failure to
abide by this agreement will result in appropriate disciplinary actions
as spelled out in this document.
2. No Prohibited Content
You may not post, upload, link to, or e-mail any content that is in
violation of applicable local, state, federal, your country law or
contains, promotes, instructs about, or provides prohibited content of
the like listed below:
a. Content that infringes upon any domestic copy rights [ex. MP3s
and ROMs] (including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks.
Discussion of unlicensed fan-subs is allowed .)
b. Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, obscene language or libelous speech.
c. Viruses or any other harmful computer software.
d. Chain letters, Pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertisements.
e. Gambling or Illicit drugs.
f. Terrorism or incitement to cause bodily harm, or death or damage and/or destruction of private or public property.
g. Discussion of or links to hacking materials or information.
h. Warez, Roms, CD-Keys, Cracks, Passwords, or Serial Numbers. This includes hacking or cheating for internet/online games.
i. Pornography, nudity, or discussion of sexual acts or material of any kind.
j. Invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity.
The above items are violations of the Call of Duty 4: Command and
Control™ Forums Terms of Service and are cause for immediate banning
from this board. Call of Duty 4: Command and Control™ Forums will also
fully cooperate with law enforcement officials should their involvement
become necessary in the event of prohibited content which is in
violation of applicable
local, state, federal, your country law.
3. No Multiple Accounts
Each user is allowed one user name, and one user name only. If you
wish to change your account name, please contact one of the Mods or
Admins to help you out with your request. Multiple accounts will be
deleted upon their discovery. Creating another account shortly after a
suspension will result in that user being banned.
4. No Flaming
Disagreements may arise during discussion. Please keep to a mature
tone and not result to name-calling or insults. If you are unable to do
this, take the discussion elsewhere and off of these boards.
5. No Personal Issue Conflicts
If you and another party have a disagreement over something that
happened on this board, a different board, or even in something that
arose in person, do not bring it here. Resolve your differences
privately and peaceably through other venues.
6. No Swearing
This is the open and public area of the forums as they relate to
the promotion of our convention. Because of this, please keep the
language and topics here clean enough for our under-aged visitors and
for their parents’ peace of mind. The board's Swear Filter is already
primed to filter out the infamous "Seven Dirty Words," their altered
spellings, their synonyms, and their derivatives. This filter may be
updated as warranted.
7. No Hot-Linking
Do not steal bandwidth from other sites. Upload images that you
wish to post onto your own image host or server for display on these
forums.
8. Disciplinary Action
When in breach of any terms stated within this document, the Call
of Duty 4: Command and Control™ Forums reserves the right to deliver
any of the following actions as listed below
as deemed necessary by the Forum Mods or Admin:
Verbal Warning - No Action Taken
Formal Warning - Warn Level Raised.*
Suspension - Users receiving three consecutive Warn Level Raises are placed on Suspension lasting for thirty days.
Mod Queue - Users Comments are reviewed by Staff before going live.
Users returning from Suspension are placed in the Mod Queue. This
probation will last until their warn level is dropped.
Ban - Removal from forums.
* Warn levels will be decreased after a period of thirty days if
the user abides by the Call of Duty 4: Command and Control™ Forums TOS
during that period of time.
9. Appeals Process
Should you feel that disciplinary action taken against you was in
error, you may appeal the action by contacting the Board Admin. Present
your case honestly and rationally. False testimony will lead to
additional disciplinary action. The decision of the Admin is final.
